Hourglass Collection is inspired by the values of Haljas. We find that people get carried away in their fast-paced lifestyles and often need to be persuaded to hop off the wheel. Haljas therefore wishes to contribute to your living environment by offering tempting reminders to put everything else on pause and spend a few hours away from the noise. The aim was to design the product striking to the eye and soothing for the body.

The Hourglass Chair is designed to be the centrepiece of the Hourglass Collection. Like all products of Haljas, the Hourglass Chair is made for wellness geeks who understand, value and respect the qualities of thought through design, premium materials and craftmanship. The product is made from bent steel (powder coated) and solid oak. Easy assembly, shipped in a flatpack.
Materials
European oak
This durable hardwood has straight grain, but the texture itself is coarse and uneven. It has interlocking grain and irregular patterns within the wood. The symbolic image of oak has been long associated with longevity and endurance.
Bent steel
5mm bent steel together with thought through structure ensures a strong and rigid overall construction.
